Moby Dick, our boat

Today, Moby Dick has become much more than just a boat. On board, united by a shared passion for the sea, we support social projects and promote the beauty of our territory and the wonders of the Ligurian Levant such as Cinque Terre, Portovenere and the Gulf of Poets.
On board, you will have access to the following services: marine toilet, gas stove, gas barbecue, fresh water, fridge, stereo, icebox, outdoor shower, ladder for access to the sea, snorkeling equipment (mask and fins on request), awning a stern, current 12V-220V, machine for the cafe, oven.
Moby Dick was an old fishing boat, built in Sicily; the owner was a fisherman who had tried to restore the boat for long, yet without succeeding. So, at that time, the boat seemed doomed to never sail again.
On 2008, a group of guys, including our captain Massimo, felt in love with this boat and they decided to start the maintenance works to bring life back to this abandoned boat! These works were immediately started in the square where the boat was, out of the water, without water or lighting at their disposal.
After two years, Moby Dick was ready to take on water and be transported to another site to continue the renovation and construction phases. During this long restoration, about ten iroko plating boards were replaced, six oak orders were restored, various beams and boards of the bridge were changed and reinforced to fortify the already robust oak framework.
